If someone had told me before my trip that the Har Ki Dun trek would become one of my most memorable journeys, I probably would not have believed them. I had travelled to mountains before, but Har Ki Dun felt different from the very beginning. The journey started from Sankri, and even the drive there felt like part of the adventure. The roads passed through beautiful mountain scenery, small villages and green hills. Once we reached Sankri, we knew that the real journey was about to begin. The following morning, we started walking towards the trail. At first, everything felt exciting. We were taking photographs, talking loudly and stopping whenever we found a beautiful view. After walking for a few hours, however, the excitement became tiredness. My backpack suddenly felt much heavier, and I started wondering how far we still had to go. Then we reached a peaceful spot beside the Supin River.
